Native, cross-platform or web app?
- Native (Swift for iOS, Kotlin for Android): the best performance and immediate access to every new platform feature, but two codebases to build and maintain.
- Cross-platform (React Native, which we use, or Flutter): one codebase for iOS and Android, lower build and maintenance cost, and near-native performance for most business apps.
- Progressive web app (PWA): runs in the browser, installs to the home screen and works offline — the lowest-cost route when you do not need an app-store listing or deep device features.
App or website?
A website is the right tool for being found and generating enquiries. An app earns its cost when people use it again and again: it can send push notifications, work offline, use the camera, GPS and biometric login, and keep a signed-in experience one tap away. Many businesses need both — a fast website to win customers and an app to serve them.
What drives the cost

- Scope: the number of screens and user roles.
- Backend: an existing API, a new custom backend, or a service such as Firebase.
- Integrations: payments, maps, CRM or ERP, messaging.
- Offline and real-time: sync queues and live updates add work.
- Design depth: standard components or a fully custom design system.
- Running costs: hosting, store fees, monitoring and maintenance after launch.
After launch
Apps need regular care: new iOS and Android versions, store policy changes, security patches in libraries, and crash fixes. Every project includes a 30-day support window after release; after that, maintenance continues on a monthly plan or as needed.
